One of the founders of Cynic philosophy, Diogenes or Diogenes Of Sinope was an eminent Greek philosopher (c. 404—323 B.C.E.) . He is also remembered as ‘Diogenes The Cynic’. He was one of the very few men who lived even after openly mocking ‘Alexander The Great’. He carried out the philosophical positions with a unique sense of humor and dynamism. His proactive behavior and philosophical thoughts made him very popular even though he came from a poor background. When Diogenes was living in Corinth, Alexander the Great came to the city and was very interested in meeting the philosopher. He found Diogenes resting in the sunlight, introduced himself, and asked if there was anything he could do for him. Diogenes replied, "Yes. Get out of my sunlight." Alexander admired his spirit and said, "If I were not Alexander, I would wish to be Diogenes" to which Diogenes replied, "If I were not Diogenes, I would also wish to be Diogenes."

All our bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and coloring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.
