This bronze composition is inspired by the Minoan 'bull-leaping' rituals, in which participants of both sexes vaulted over bulls by grasping their horns. The famous fresco-tile, depicting this activity, was found in the palace at Knossos and dates to ca 1600-1500 BC, and is now on display in the museum in Heraklion in Crete.
All our bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and coloring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.
