ARTEMISION BRONZE SCULPTURE
The original, full-size bronze statue, dating to ca 475-45 BC, is now in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. There has been considerable debate about his identity between Zeus and Poseidon. He was discovered in the sea, off Cape Artemision, between 1926 ad 1928 and is one of the handful of original, full-size bronze statues to survive from antiquity. The archeologist can't say which one of the two is... they haven't discover it yet!
All our bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and coloring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.
